heart control
tomorrow morning when my son finish the hemodyalisis in the hospital, he has a control of a heart, he goes four times in a year, when we went the last time (february) I thought, Oh God I would like to stay fine and do not go to this consult another time , and to have a kidney to my son, But Tomorrow I will go with my son to this control and i will think, the next time, it will be the definitive. My husband and me have signature the document to the kidney trasplant with Soliris by compasive use, we are waiting the decision . Really I am tired because he will be four years in dyalisis in september and I think that the time is coming..

Hi Mireya,
When Hunter had his transplant workup and tons of tests, they also did heart studies. I can recall that we did Echocardiograms and EKGs, and we also checked for thickening of heart tissue multiple times a year throughout Hunter's years of dealing with aHUS . While it's exciting (in an abstract sense) to think of the new world of health and fun experiences that a new,functioning renal transplant will provide, it is terrifying and draining to deal with the realities involved with a transplant, particularly one involving a new drug protocol.
One thing that has NOT been given much attention by all you dialysis moms is the 'tiredness' mentioned by you....perhaps it would be good to write a Home Page Blog about these feelings....
